South Pacific Helicopters & Wings Over Whales are family owned and operated businesses located in the heart of Kaikoura. Since taking over the businesses in October 2016, husband and wife team Dan & Monique have grown and built both businesses with the goal to not only share the beauty of Kaikoura with all its visitors, but to educate everyone who steps onboard with their wealth of knowledge on the local marine life and teach them why Kaikoura is one of the best places in the world for marine wildlife encounters.

With sustainability as one of the main core values of both South Pacific Helicopters and Wings Over Whales, they warmly welcomed the idea of becoming partners with Moana Mark when they got the chance. “With both companies benefiting greatly from our local environment, knowing we are partners and supporting a not-for-profit orgnisation makes us very proud as business owners” says owner and operator Dan Stevenson. “Partnering up with Moana Mark means that we can not only operate and know that we are educating customers on Kaikouras’ unique and diverse marine life but also the importance of sustainable practices and marine conservation” he continued.

It is with great pleasure that we continue to contribute to a thriving marine environment through donating $1 from every seat for our 30min whale watching flight for Wings Over Whales and $10 for every whale watching flight for South Pacific Helicopters. This is on top of our original contribution to MoanaMark of $50 per person for every flight booked with Dr Krista on board.
